 Company Background

SEI Consulting  was founded in 2001, with a focus on implementing the QAD MFG/PRO ERP system.  The company is headquartered in California, but services clients around the world.  We also work with multinational clients via our network of international alliances.  Since our inception, we have completed over 80 systems implementations without a failure.

Overview of Professional Services

SEI Consulting offers a variety of services designed to assist you with setting or clarifying your business and information systems strategies, and requirements.  We can develop recommendations for systems to support your needs and assist you in selecting the best solutions to address those requirements.  We provide systems implementation services for QAD but through our network can assist on a variety of software applications as well as assisting  you in selecting service providers for applications that we don’t support. 

Business Systems Analysis and Design

SEI Consulting consultants begin any analysis project with a thorough review of the business operation that a system is to be designed to support.  Our review insures that we not only understand the day-to-day operation in detail, but the strategy of and objectives for this operation in the future.  We work with all levels of staff within an organization as appropriate to complete our analysis.

Upon completion of our investigation of the business and information systems needs, we begin to design a solution that will support the immediate requirements as well as provide for future growth and expansion. Each solution will be unique based on the particular needs of the customer, but all designs will include a requirements definition, a proposed solution, and a proposed approach and plan to implement the solution.  For some projects this may entail a software selection process with SEI Consulting assisting you in determining which software product best meets your needs.

Information Systems Implementation

Upon acceptance of a proposed approach, SEI Consulting can guide you through your systems implementation.  We can provide as much, or as little, of the resource for completing your systems implementation project, as you need.  We can assist with hardware and software installation, training, determining the best fit of the software to your business, data conversions, piloting and testing, end user training, and go live conversions.

Enterprise Application Integration

Do you have systems that need to exchange information with each other or with external systems that belong to your customers or suppliers?  SEI Consulting can assist you with developing solutions to those systems integration needs.  We have years of experiencing with designing and developing interfaces and integration tools for connecting disparate applications.

Management Consulting

Our clients sometimes need assistance in resolving business issues that may arise in their day-to-day operations.  SEI Consulting consultants are available to work with you on general business management issues – regardless of whether they have to do with a particular systems implementation project.

Documentation Services

Our clients sometimes need assistance in documenting business processes, workflows, user manuals, or other similar documentation projects.  SEI Consulting consultants are available to work with you on general documentation projects.  We are familiar with a wide variety of documentation formats and tools, or willing to adapt to yours as needed.
